Like the old ones say (no offence), time flies .. i put this rubbish dump of mine aside again for a few months . Well , this time i am gonna be random .

First of all , Happy Deepavali to all my Indian friends and to those who are not celebrating , find somthing else to celebarate . I will be taking a short break from school , guess its time for me to carry out my unusual yet fulfilling routine .

Exam is over too . I got 30 marks for chemistry and am extremely proud of that result . I just suck in Chemistry . Its so tough !I nearly pee in my pants when teacher said that the chances of entering Uni is so slim or negligible if i fail chemistry or PA . Oh dear , i am weak in these 2 subjects . On the other hand , its ok if you fail Math and Physics . Why not the other way round ? I am better in deduction rather than pumping all the facts into my brain . But it's also because i never study at all so blame youself . Overall performance drop compared to my previous test . Well , all these while , its like a yoyo .. it drops and rises , then drops again so the next round of test , it will rise .. so don worry too much .

Holidays are around the corner and this one is gonna be long . It's worth waiting . Lots of programmes have been lined up .. the uninteresting ones -- gotta date with the teachers in school , tuition classes .. come on , just be optimistic . Alright , i am looking forward to these classes , they are fun !

Due to my really hectic schedule , BB is soon gonna be out of my weekly routines . I can no longer afford to spend time coming for meetings regularly .. Just don wanna elaborate on this .

I have been drumming quite often nowadays despite the extraordinary results . It's one of the ways for me to release pressure and anger .. i just broke one of my cymbals and planning to break the other one and when i eventually break the whole set , then i can sit myself down and study without any distraction or temptation . A big thank you to Addison who taught me all the cool stuff , it really makes a difference after you know all these cool stuff . Looking forward to learn more . I will also go for double bassing , this really requires lots of practice .

KL Wesley advanced worship workshop

I recently attended a 3- day (but i went for 2 days only ) worship workshop . Thanks to MMT's effort for inviting a wonderful worship team from the church of Saviour in Singapore to conduct this workshop . These musicians are really blessed . They played really good music . Sam , me , Alex and Chan are under Daryl for drums . He is a very nice guy who taught us lots of stuff . Having attended this workshop , i realised that there are so many things about drums and worship that i do not know . We learnt about the aspects worship , the style , the way to stimulate the congregation into worship and of course to play and worship God at the same time ( something that i cant achieve ) .

He even taught us how to play some latin beats, raggae into the songs . I was blurred here as i am not familiar with the latin beats but will soon practice these beats as much as i can . Using paradiddles as warm ups is a very good practice . Applying the molar method on hands and feets , ah this is quite hard .. there are many more things that we learnt .

However , God doesn't see how well we play but instead how much we want to play for him . But this doesn't mean we can just pick up our drumsticks and simply whack for God because he deserves the best from us . May God continue to guide and mould the church's music ministry team , especially new people like me .

My driving test

I passed driving .. all my sweats and hard work paid off . It was fun .. it's nice to see people driving with different style ... I am tested on driving on the road , parking , 3 point turn and go up the slope . Thanks to God and my instructor who consistently guided me . Credit to him although he always put me down . Surprisingly , i met vin sen there and he was also there for the test and passed too ! We both have the same instructor .

My instructor sounds discouraging .. You will need a high level of tolerance to deal with him . One of those days ,

Instructor : Hey , what's strong with you ? Are you blind ? Cant u see that car there ?
mryam : Yes , I am blind but you are not blind ma .. just tell me there's a car there la idiot .
mryam : I am fine .. That bus there is blocking ma .
Instructor : Your performace is worst then the other day . If you were to drive like this , you are gonna fail !
mryam : Can you just keep your mouth shut and let me drive in peace .
Instructor : Did i teach you to park your car like that .. How many times you want me to repeat ?
mryam : Last time , i do like that , i kena scold , now i do your way , i also kena scold , i better go home and sleep la
mryam : alright la , let me think about it first .

This is few of our 'conversations' and of course , i DID NOT say those words in blue . Hope he doesn't see this .

Anyways , it is all his scoldings and consistent discouragement which drove me to pass .. Thank you , my instructor !

Phew , what a day ! But honestly , i still need a lot of practice before i can drive on my own .

Well well , i am back ! Just don wanna put this blog to waste .. Some says its fun , some says it suck .. now i know what is it after joining national service for 2 months . I think its fun .. just don understand why people condemn and find reasons to abolish it .. I was sent to Kem Tanaki Tambunan , Sabah , somewhere we KL people wouldn't know at all and never expect ourselves to be sent to a place which is thousands of km from my house . The journey is 5 hours long ( 1 hour bus ride to bukit jalil , 2 hours plus in the place and 2 hours bus ride from the airport ) . Yeah la , i admit i was cursing everyone , the government la .. whoever laughing at me la . for being selected as one of the trainees . When i reached there .. things are even worse .. toilet sucks .. dorms arent in good condition .. people arent frenly coz i don know them yet .. trainers screams all the time la .. all the negative stuff ! The first week was terrible .. but everything changes for me when i make new frens there .. i start to look into things positively .. and with God's grace , i got used to that place and started lovin it .. As a summary of all the activities : We have Character building classes - i don really enjoy this .. i used to sleep in front of the teacher but guess what , nothing happens .. try that in MBS , see what happens .. Integration class - oh , i like this .. I was even the bridegroom in my group's presentation (Chinese's marriage) Citizenship class - oh this is fun too , it's like pa classes .. we discussed bout the government and the current situation .. community service - i like this too . we get to visit a lot of places in sabah ( Taman Sabah , Taman rafflesia ... ) and get lost from the campsite for some time . physical activities -- i enjoy canoeing , flying fox .. high and low ropes but unfortunately we can only do all these once .. M-16 - what more to say , once in a lifetime .. 30 bullets .. done in 5 mins .. appreciate what you have ! Blood donation , creative sports , drill , campaigns after campaigns ..... i meet different people from different backgrounds , different ( race + thinking + mentality ... ) . The people in Sabah are nice .. friendly .. not much difference from KL people .. The food in my camp is nice .. the girls are nicer .. blek before i go off topic , i better stop this .. Anyways , this will be one of the sweetest memories in my life . I will cherish every moments i had together with my friends there .. We went through all the hardships together , sleep , eat , bathe , look at girls ( i am just trying to be honest here ) .. everything together . Pray that God will keep all of them safe and help them to make wise decisions in their lives ..

This is Andrew , one of my best friends there . Superbly caring , very good hospitality , talkative .. without him , life there would be boring for me . People call him the grocery shop because he is the source for junk food , biscuits , mee cups ..etc . and he's so generous , he let us take whatever we want for free! Trust me , he is the type of friends you would look forward to make . I miss the times when he's angry .. i like his style and the way he reacts .. Miss U !!

He 's the joker in my dorm .. always hv live concerts ..a very responsible dorm leader ..He ensures our dorm is clean all the time . His efforts paid off . My dorm is always the cleanest dorm .. which greatly contribute to Alpha's points and subsequently Alpha is crowned the champion .
Evenegoh ( most right ) - This fella is also a joker .. really funny .. He's professional in courting girls . always shares his experiences with us .. He often uses his magic tricks on the poker cards to impress them .. wonder if it works

This is Oyo . She's a very nice and sweet girl . Quite talkative .. has a very nice smile . I knew her during community service .Very friendly .. We both go to the same church there .. i can see that she likes to play the drums .. hehe , always tap the feet and hands .. active and lovely .. Miss u too !



This is Luke .. He plays the guitar . He plays for the worship team in church .. and we both love hillsongs .. Never had the chance to jam with him .. well that's fine . He is a nice guy , friendly and caring . Was really puzzled when Andrew was angry with me , like me but it's all fine now . He is now in KL ! We can meet each other quite often .. wohoo !

On my left , Stiven .. very nice guy too ! Interested in math and puzzles .. we both have solved many sudoku questions together to pass time during the character building class . Funny person .. and a brilliant person . Why do i say brilliant .. He's the master of disguise .. He is perfectly fine on one of these days but lazy to go for class so off he goes to the Medic .

Doktor : Sakit apa ?

Stiven : Doktor , saya sakit kepala oh , pagi bangun sudah pening oh , mau jalan betul betul pun susah .. muntah pun ada oh .. ai yo

Doktor : Betulkah , Mari kasih saya sentuh kepala awak .. cis , tak ada panas pun , awak nampak ok saja , muka pun tak pucat , tak merah ..

Stiven : Doktor , saya tak ada main main punya .. betul sakit . awak ambilah tekanan darah saya dan tengok ( he is already prepared .. he kept jumping outside the Medic to make his blood pressure higher ) ..

Doktor : Oh betul itu , awak rehatlah la hari ini ..

Stiven : phew ..

He also fakes his leg injury .. just put a bandage there and get one week off again . Smart ! He took all our underwears on the last day of us in camp . Wonder what he's going to do with them .. Hopefully it's for memory la .. Miss u stiven ! See u again when u come down to KL .

We took this in the Dewan Perjumpaan Keluarga . Every week , parents are allowed to visit their children . My parents are in KL so it's impossible (never think of it ) for them to come and visit me so i can only watch my friends reunite with their parents . We always get to eat when parents brought in lots of food .. so generous .

We took this on the lastday . Three of us (Me , zi yang and chei thai ) will be leaving . So sad ! Leaving behind all our dearest friends . This is the chinese group . We often meet during holidays .. Too many to name here ..

We often tease each other in a healthy manner .. especially in integration class . Loves to wear a cap .. maybe u would say it is because of the hot weather there but guess what , he also wears the cap at night ..?? I remembered how much pain he has beared when his finger nails was pulled off due to some infection .. ouch .. Haha , tai lee ! I miss playing the biawak and buaya game with me coz he is always on the losing one and always gets punished .. haha !!




My integration class teacher .. nice teacher .. ideal teacher .. She accompanied us to the airport together with cikgu lieand . She complained when the flight was delayed coz she had to stay until we entered the gate .. mumbling .. cannot go back on time for dinner .. good bye teacher .

He caught an insect as big as my fist .. but too bad i am also not frightened .. Tommy , u failed .. haha

I am always exhausted during the weekends . Phew .. Finally , i am given an opportunity to play for Sunday services and indeed it is a very fun experience . Thanks to everyone in MMT who guided me .. I was a bit nervous , grr .. but fortunately not much mistakes . Afterall , i have to thank God as he is the one who gives me the strength and confidence .
